 Package vacations are the preferred choice by many for many tourists to spend their vacations while on the other hand a large group of tourists like camping holidays. Both options have weaknesses and strengths.

     One of the benefits of package vacations is the all inclusive package deals that are offered by the travel agent. They can arrange everything from your transportation to the hotel after your arrival up to where to leave your kids in order to have a good time alone with your partner. Moreover you have access to reasonably priced cafés , clean and exotic beaches and of course the night clubs . Despite its benefits there are several drawbacks. Firstly, you are restricted by the set mealtimes. If your travel package includes meals, you have to return in time for lunch or supper in order not to spend money to eat outside. Another major disadvantage is the multi storey hotels which make you feel lonely, depressed and unable to meet any local residents. In this way you cannot interact with any local person and get to know to the new culture.

       The main benefit of camping is that you have the freedom to discover        unspoiled places. For instance, you do not have to particular timetables and schedules to follow. In addition the new, modern campsites which are equipped with toilets, with hot and cold water and with shower amenities offers you high quality camping experience. On the other hand you are forced to carry your equipment on your back. As a consequence you may suffer from terrible backaches. Moreover you must check in advance the weather forecast in order not to be caught by surprise if it rains and be unable to do anything.

 To sum up, having considered all the pros & cons of package and camping vacation, I think that package vacation is more suitable for families with kids whereas camping is for youngsters. However package vacation popularity is far more than camping’s vacation popularity.
